The test for SFCL prototype |
Innopower invests to build its electrical and mechanical laboratories to test the electrical and physical performance of superconductor wire, cable samples and superconducting fault current limiter prototypes.
We began to purchase and fabricate experiment instruments and equipment in May, 2002. Now we have the ability to test critical superconducting transition temperature, critical current density, superconductor performance under magnetic field, the influence of thermal-cycling on superconductors, multi-layer cable's AC loss, the influence of mechanical distortion on superconductors, cable current distribution and cable current AC loss. We also have the capability to design, produce and test superconducting magnets and low temperaturecryostatsindependently.
The currently ongoing experiments:
1.The influences of parallel magnetic field and vertical magnetic field on the performance of superconducting wires (at the temperature of 4k)
2.Performance testings of superconducting magnetsforXinanJiaotongUniversity (at the temperature of 4k)
3.Performance testings of superconducting magnetsforXinanJiaotongUniversity (at the temperature of 7k)
4.Magnetic measurements on No.3 superconducting fault current limiter prototype
5.The influence of solder joints on the performance of superconducting coils
